Lately I’ve been noticing how crazy different some executive profiles look online compared to the real person. Like, their LinkedIn makes them sound like a superhero with 20 years of experience, dozens of awards, and global impact, but in reality, people who’ve worked with them say they’re totally different, skills exaggerated, roles overstated, or even companies that barely exist on their resume.
It’s wild how polished resumes and corporate bios can be versus the actual person. Makes you wonder how much of what we see online is real and how much is just for show. I’ve run into a few people like this in my work and it’s honestly eye-opening, sometimes impressive, sometimes a total letdown.
