Fake takedowns are confusing… need advice

So… I’ve been trying to understand this thing called censorship and takedown fraud ,And honestly, it’s kinda confusing...From what I get, it’s when someone pretends to be a copyright owner or some “official authority” And tries to get your stuff taken down for fake reasons......Like, your posts, videos, or content just disappears because some scammer said so

The scary part is these notices can look super official
I can totally see someone panicking and thinking they did something wrong

So I’m asking:

• How do you even tell if a takedown notice is real or fake?
• What’s the safest way to protect your content?
• Has anyone dealt with this and lived to tell the tale?

I just want to understand this better so I don’t freak out if it ever happens to me.....Any advice, tips, or stories would be super appreciated..
